I am generally a hard sci-fi fan and tech junky and not into the fantasy stuff. But, when I was a kid I read all eleven of Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Carter of Mars series.The movie version of the first book "A Princess of Mars" is to be released under just the name "John Carter" The early reviews seem to be good, so I will probably break down and go see this just for old times sake. Should be interesting to see the old Mars of the 1800's and early 1900's before reality set in and ruined things. LOL

Man, the film has gotten very bad reviews. It seems the main focus it the scantily clad princess and poor 3D. Too bad, it was a good book.
