Buttons, RIP

My family's dog, Buttons, a happy and loyal Toy Poodle, died yesterday after twelve loving years with us. We are just devastated at the loss but try to cope with the knowledge that she's in a better place now. It is so very hard.

So sorry to hear about your loss, Jeff. Buttons looked like quite the charmer.

I know there are some who may not understand the significance of your loss, but the most caring and loyal friends I've ever had were dogs. It's obvious you gave her the best life possible and it's important to take some comfort in that. I've never understood why those around us who give us so much pleasure in life are here for so short a time.

12 good years is a good life for a dog and I am sure they were happy years. We all miss our loved pets when they are gone. It is almost like loosing a child and never an easy time. But with time the pain subsides and you are left with the memories of the good times you had.

Sorry to hear about the loss Jeff... but remember, you gave him your best, and she gave you hers... that's what really counts.
