Hi all,

Not nearly as good as Richard's, but here is my IC 1396b Ha (4h, ST-10XME, Ha astrodon 6nm, NP-101, G11). Full moon limited my data acquisition to Ha only. I will try to get some RBG later. Also, by the way, this is my first image using CCD commander (so I can actually get some sleep). This was also the first image using focusmax (nice piece of software). Comments are always appreciated.

cheers,

Jeff

Wow Jeff, that is a sweet image. I really like the processing on this one.

Thanks all, I really appreciate your comments. I finally feel like the processing learning curve is not quite as steep. I'd be happier if I could more effectively deal with the blooming, but it's coming.

Clear skies,

Jeff

Dramatic. This thing is like the famous Hubble pillars in M16 portrayed like this.

Stunning!

BTW, IC1396a is, in your image, the "upper"portion. It contains vdb142 (not seen here) and the "eye". IC 1396b in the "lower" portion of the "Trunk". You have both on your image, whereas Mike only captured the "a" portion.
