Wow! this might help dispel the image of republicans as being "anti-science", or "incurious".

After all, most republicans just don't think the government should do everything.

Keep in mind that one of her first acts as Gov. was to sheppard legislation to approve a 1750 mile long natural gas pipeline. Does McCain thinkg we are blind AND stupid?

Do you think that the fact McCain was the only candidate who had actually been tortured, might have swayed his opinion?

Well, he's hoping we are, anyway. He's hoping a bunch of us will think they're doing something progressive by voting for this woman, merely because of her sex, regardless of her policies.

I guess it was predictable that Don takes issue with the only things McCain says which I can agree with.

well, that sure seems to be the strategy of the obamacons. I mean, if you insinuate that you do not agree with the messiah, then, well you are either dumb as a brick or you are a racist.

I don't agree with him completely. For example, I think his references to the meaningless oxymoron of "clean coal" are BS. It's mostly people like you who apply labels like "messiah" to the guy. Apparently it bothers you that he's popular.

Nah, they're all a bunch of sissies! Don't you dare think about forcing the key information out of some slug that's trying to kill thousands of innocent men, women, and children. That's just terrible! You have to coddle and sweet-talk these damned cowardly terrorists!
If some SOB is trying to kill me, my family, and my friends, you can bet your booty that I would beat the daylights out of that Murderer to find out anything that would save people's lives! And I would most certainly hope some sissy is NEVER voted in as President of *this* country! It's the Commander-in Chief's JOB to PROTECT the lives of WE The People by whatever means it takes. If it takes TORTURE, then so be it! IF that slug is suicidal, then that would be the ONLY way to save us. To break the murderer, to "test" his (or her) defiance to SAVE people's lives. After all, that slug is trying to KILL YOU!
These "progressives" apparently have no respect for people's lives.. And it just makes me sick that they want to give "rights" to those that want nothing less than to DESTROY us. To "reward" the murderous slugs for trying to kill, is just as bad as "Giving Aid and Comfort to The ENEMY". That is treasonous!

Gentlemen,

Suppose McCain (or in the worst case Obama) becomes President and is in the unfortunate situation of knowledge of an upcomming terroist attack on the United States. The CIA has captured a key terrorist who is believed to have been involved in this attacks planning and has knowledge of the upcomming attack that can be used to thwart this attack.

Does anyone really believe that McCain or Obama for that matter would not use all available means including waterboarding to get the information. It is one thing for both of these men to talk about being against torture in the hypothetical. It is another thing to be in the situation and be responsible for the lives of other people.

My guess is, both men would be forced to use all available means including waterboarding to get the necessary informtion. So why be against something that you know that you have to do. I am against gratutitous toture. But in this situation I know that I would have no choice. And. So would the both of you.

oh, you are so right, I also have "short stature" issues grin

Another thing worth pointing out is that Obama won the nomination through his own efforts and virtues, and against some very stiff competition. No one picked him to score some political point. You don't think the Democrats believe a black man has some kind of election advantage in this country, do you?

What did this woman do to deserve her place on McCain's ticket?

As for your stature joke, I'm sorry, I don't get it.
