Jay had some appeal, the rest do not.

I thinks it's spelled with a 'C', like Conan the Barbarian.

Jays delivery was painfully wooden... always the same.

I think they are all funny in varying degrees, but none of them is as funny and entertaining as was amateur astronomer Johnny Carson.

I guess I have to agree with Herb. I am getting tired of the same old political crap with Dave and Konan. Dave really went into the toilet this week with his garbage mouthed attack on Sarah Palin and her 14 year old daughter (not funny). Jimmy does seem like the best choice right now. Konan is still slap sticking with the tweeners....Dave

That's my opinion also. For me, the Tonight Show died when Johnny left. I even liked Jack Parr in the old days.

Me too. Even more so now. But really, it's easy to be funny when sarah is supplying the material. Rise up against Letterman - all righty then...

Not one of them is worthy to touch the hem of the robe of "Karnak". Jay was close. Letterman is banal and sophomoric. Johnny had style and panache, was very funny, at times hilarious, (as when mimicing Carl Sagan) but always a gentleman. And there was the incomparable "Tonight Show" band. I didn't know it at the time, but with his retirement an era ended.

I still like Dave, but I've been watching The Late Show with Craig Ferguson lately. He's actually pretty funny, without being crass. Too bad he isn't taking over the Tonight show...

... for many years. I recently just found him to be a crotchety old man with more bitching than entertainment. I switched to Jay about 3 months ago and then he went off "late" night so I tried Conan. Conan is just not funny to me. The last week or so I started watching Jimmy (reruns) and he is pretty funny and not so political and has good guests and has something to say so I am going to try him for a while. I used to watch Jimmy on the "Man's Show" and it could be pretty hilarious at times.
