I need advice. I have just entered the astronomy hobby and do not wish to make the wrong decision when I purchase my telescope. I am looking at the Zhumell dobsionan telescopes. Telescopes.com has told me that the mirror is Pyrex glass in both the 8" and the 10". I was told that the wavefront accuracy is 1/4. Both telescopes have good 2" focusers and a decent finder scope. Also, you get the laser collimator as well. Does anyone know where the mirror is made? Is this a good telescope in either size and which one should I go for if I can afford either, not considering size and weight? How does Zhumell compare to the X-Class Dobsionan telescopes?

These appear to be just another name place on the same scopes.
These scopes are a good deal for entry level scopes. The optics are OK, but not world class of course. The movement of the scopes is fair, but can be improved with a little work. The build is OK, but not great.
