Does anyone know of a good brand of brush on flat black paint for tube interiors? The Krylon ultra flat black is a great spray paint, but I haven't been able to find any brush on paint that is nearly as good. Thanks! Dave

I think black chalkboard paint is available as brush-on. It's not bad.

Dave Go to a customer friendly place like Lowes or Home Depot and tell them you want a quart of flat black paint. Get a good latex and tell them to pour a couple oz of the base out and then fill it with pure black. I had them fill a base can without pouring anyout and it is just as black as the Krylon Ultra flat spray. I did the inside of a 10 inch Dob and have touched up many parts since. The spray gives a smoother finish but the brush on eliminates all the over spray.

Good luck Dave

David, At one time, Edmund, in their Optics catalog, not the general catalog, sold cans of the flat black paint used for camera interiors. I'm not sure what the size was, or if they still do sell it. It might be worth checking into. DR
