How about some on topic discussion?

Not trying to be a cooler here, but really, this is all totally off topic don't you think?
I would be much more interested in what was discussed on forum about the spacer issue. I assume it is related to the recent problems with dark lanes and diffraction areas in images seen in some WO refractors?

Hi Floyd,

I started the thread in the Yahoo Refractos forum, thinking I could get an intelligent answer. I did get a good answer from Roland, but then the thread got wildly off track due to people not reading what was said, and once again accusing WO of lieing about who designed their 132mm scope, which lead to one post after another, moderated madness, and bannishment boogies.

It seems that in that group only certain people are allowed to defend themselves against accusations.

Sadly, had I just looked in Astromart first, I would have seen a similar thread going started by the same person who had some of the original questions that were posed in the WO Yahoo group, with answers from Roland here as well.

Well, as they say, learn from your mistakes. Needless to say, I won't be bothering with the Yahoo Refractors group any more.

Telescopes, and learning are too much fun for me, to be annoyed by hidden agendas, or bias against people and/or vendors, and I will be encouraging my online friends to post and contribute on Astromart in the future.
