Yeah, I noticed that as well. I used to have Tak 5mm and 7.5mm LEs, but sold them when I got Radians...which I sold when I got Pentaxes, which I sold when...

I thought the LEs were very nice eyepieces, with comfortable eye relief of around 10mm. Very sharp and contrasty. I actually thought they had better contrast and less lateral color than the Radians, but the Radians were more comfortable with a wider fov. There's always a tradeoff, isn't there?

Hi Doug,

Part of that was me. I just sold 6 LEs in the past two days. First, I think LEs are really good and in fact, the best eps for the money. I really like them in my FS128. But, I just did not like them as well in my 16" Starmaster. It had nothing to do with the sharpness or contrast, etc. It is just that with a big dob, I want a bit more FOV (even with tracking) and I also found that while I like to get close and personal with the refractor, I prefer more eyerelief with the dob. The LEs have decent eyerelief--not much different from the TV Zoom, but my viewing style with the Starmaster is much more physical than with the FS128 and I find the Radians to be better in that respect.

I guess, in the end, I could not see having a set of LEs and a set of Radians. I am one ep short of a full set (don't need the 3mm) and have the 22 Nagler and the 35 Panoptic. I did keep the LE-50, though. This has to be the best 50mm eyepiece around and has a much more reasonable back focus requirement than the TV 55.
