Floyd and others who were involved in this...

Remeber those great spreadsheets that were developed to standardize reviews...how are we doing with the project? I am optimistically hoping that there is a slow but steady growth of reviews using this new tool and you will release the results when you have a critical mass...too optimistic? Is there anyway we can help with this?

Hi Pete. I am the keeper of the spreadsheet. Yes...too optimistic...no slow and steady work. There was an approaching critical mass, but then all the rods got pushed it and the reaction ceased :-o I ran a review or two using it also, and put those up on AMart.

I am considering morphing it into a bit of a different interface based on my experiences using the process. Hard cold standards on performance are great -- which this sheet facilitates. But qualitative narratives are also of extreme value. The last incarnation has elements of both, but does not integrate them that successfully IMO. Plus there really isn't an effective quick and dirty look at results capability - sort of a dashboard guage concept if you know what I mean. Finally, a picture is worth a 1000 words, particularly for some aberrations. Anyway, I've been pondering in the back of my mind how to integrate all of this. I'm planning another review shortly so am going to use that to try some new concepts.

If you want to work off-line with me, drop me a line on private message and we can arrange to talk.

Thx,
-Bill

Hi Peter,
They are ready for use. Ask William Paolini and he will send them to you I believe.
I had intended on using the sheet for a review on a bunch of higher end Orthos. However, I never got enough time under good skies to properly evaluate them before I returned them to their owner. He was leaving for a time and I wanted them back in his hands before he left.
I did get enough time with them to give me some insight on these better high end EPs. But I will just use this for reference in future reviews. I just did not get enough time to see the difference in detail and color that would be require to try to rate EPs of this caliber.
