Hey, I bought the 2" extension ring from TV (Bought at Anacortes) for the 12mm Nagler that makes it parfocal with the 17mm and 22mm T-4 EPs. It works great and now the 12mm will take 2" filters too. I have always wanted the T-4s to be parfocal and I never liked having to put the 12mm in and totally refocus. So, a great little product.
Problem is, I bought 3 of them thinking that I could adapt them to the Meade 4000 UWA EPs to make them pure 2" as well. But, the amount of work needed looks like a hassle.
So, I have two new ones still in box if anyone is interested. PM me if you are.

That sounds great, Floyd.
Those 12's really do take some major back focus!
And yeah, the 8.8 UWA would really benefit, too.
If only...

Floyd-
Thanks for this info. I bought a used 12 Type 4 that included the extension but I never bothered using the extension becuase I thought it was intended solely as a means of using 2" filters. Knowing that it makes the eyeiece parfocal with the 17 and 22 is great news!
