Meade 8.8mm UWA question

Got a question:
I recently purchased a Meade 8.8mm UWA lens off of Astromart. It's a real beauty but when I tried it out for the first time I noticed a noise in the EP. If I move the EP from side to side I hear what sounds like a loose internal lens. Has anyone had the same experience with this EP I thought maybe this is no cause for concern and just the way the EP is put together. Anyone else notice this? cwy

There should be no loose lenses, however the lower barrel can become loose. Try turning it clockwise to see if it moves. If it does tighten it snuggly. If not then there is another lens ring that has come loose. If you are not comfortable with checking it further I would contact the seller to ask about it and see if he would agree to you taking it in to someone.
If this is not satisfactory, I would return it. I am not saying this is a bad problem, but if you are not happy then that is reason enough to return it. If I had sold it to you, then I would accept the return.

Larry ; I had a 14mm. with the same symptoms. After inquiring here and at other forums, the response was that this is fairly common.I was concerned also ,but ther were a number of people here that chimed in, and reported the same noises with their Meade UWA's.
