18" or larger Obsessions for sale

Just curious on everyone's take regarding the relatively large number of obsessions for sale
in the classified in the 18-20" range. They seem to move slowly, and at about the same price
(or only a little more) than what people list and pay for 12.5" starmasters. Seems to me
like these 18" scopes are good deals, and I'd probably pick one up if I had the extra cash.

Is it the size/convenience factor that makes the larger scopes move slower??

Hi Bill,

I do not know why they are for sale, but I only wish they were closer to where I live! I am currently looking for something in that size but they all seem to be a long way away from where I live! sad

Maybe some day........ smile

Cheers,

Maurice

All too often the item is listed as pickup only. The price and size of such scope wil limit the number of buyers available already. Putting geographically limit on it will certainly reduce the number of potential buyers even further. Even if the seller will ship, the buyer is expected to pay for shipping. This will add hundreds of dollars to an already expensive item.

That's my take on why it takes a while to move these scopes.

Size is a big factor. They are difficult to transport and set up by one person. I would imagine this to be as big a factor as any.
