The great 6-Direct CME event of May 2024 lit up our night sky like a full moon, but the moon was a very new thin crescent. Visually one could see mainly off-white with slight pink-purple colors but any camera showed a strongly saturated pink-purple with faint green. It was a fantastic experience. These are unguided 5-sec exposures at 800iso with Canon T3i DSLR with the stock 18-55mm lens set to wide field 18mm.
