Not the Pleiades. Not the Hyades. This open star cluster is a full 3-deg visual distance from the Hyades. In terms of equatorial coordinates, this cluster is located at about 4hr22m RA, 21-deg Dec, compared to the Pleiades at 3hr48m RA, 24-deg Dec, compared to the Hyades at 4hr28m RA, 17-deg Dec. In my sky software (Software Bisque) this cluster has no name, and the main stars have designations like WDS LDS 5535. To the right of this image is NGC 1555, a small reflection nebula that fooled me as a galaxy until I looked it up. At first I had thought this group of stars belonged to the Hyades, but it is a distinct visual grouping. Acquired 8-22-2020, Canon 200mm f4 FD lens to ZWO ASI 294 MC pro camera operated at 5-deg C temperature set point. Live stack of 87 10-sec exposure frames in SharpCap, followed by post-processing in Digital Photo Professional.
