Description
NGC6995, aka “The Cygnus Loopâ€, is a supernova remnant 1,500 light-years distant in the constellation Cygnus. The Veil is the result of a supernova which occurred ~8,000 years ago. Hydrogen (Red) and Oxygen (Blue) fluoresce as a result of intense ionizing radiation from nearby stars. This small portion of the Veil spans a distance of ~10 light-years. https://www.facebook.com/OwlMountainObservatory http://owlmountainobservatory.com
