Description
IC423, aka the “Tear Drop†nebula is a very dim reflection nebula in the constellation Orion at a distance of 1,500 light-years. This area of nebulosity is illuminated by two bright stars (Alnilam, magnitude 1.6 and Mintaka, magnitude 2.2). Reflection nebula are always a challenge from a light polluted city. This image required 12 hours of combined RGB data.
