Faint nebula region of star formation in the southern constellation of Carina. The center object is the Gabriela Mistral nebula, so named after the Nobel prize winning Chilean poet. There is a beautiful bright open star cluster to the bottom right, and some of the outer parts of the nearby carina nebula at left.
