M17 - the Omega (or Swan, or Lobster) Nebula. This nebula looks different depending on the scale of the image (narrow to wide field). Image assembled from 25 hours of narrowband data, using Astrodon 3nm SII, Ha, and OIII filters. LRGB data collected for proper star color, but not yet incorporated. 12" LX200R scope with Bellerophon focuser and Optec Pyxis 3" rotator, STL-11000M camera with FW-8 filter wheel, MOAG and RGH, all mounted on Paramount ME and Paramount 36" pier in 8' Sirius dome. From Sierra Skies Observatory in El Dorado HIlls, California - taken over 12 nights in mid- to late-July 2013.
