M27 Dumbbell Nebula SHO Hubble mapped. 18 x 600s exposures (6 each filter) TEC -15C Taken on my front patio under 87% illuminated Moon conditions. This is my 1st attempt at using 5nm Astrodon filters. The nebulosity extended further and created more of a 3D effect than I'd expected. It's as if the OIII data is "wrapped" by the Ha data and the Ha shows globules ridges and valleys towards the central star. I ran out of sky before I could capture more data. I certainly plan to capture more. Equipment: Mount AP 900 Scope: Astro Tech AT8RC reduced with AP CCDT67 reducer. Camera: SBIG STF-8300m Filter wheel: SX USB filter wheel w/ Astrodon 5nm narrowband filters. Guiding: SX off axis guider topped with SBIG STi. Pulse guided at 1sec. intervals.
