Description
A neat little galaxy 40 million light years distant in the constellation Coma Berenices. The smaller galaxy at the bottom is NGC4712 and its distance is 207 million light years. When the light that formed this image left the stars in NGC4712 the Earth was in the Triassic geological period. This is the time when the first true mammals were evolving.
