M42: The Great Orion Nebula: Rockwall, TX 22-25 NOV 12 on Orion Sirius mount through Astro-Tech AT-130 using QSI-583WSG camera at f/4.2 through AstroDon 5nm Sii, Ha, Oiii filters guided by Meade DSI. Exposure times varied from Ha 120 min O4- 80 min, S2-80min with 20-min subexposures. Captured series of 5, 10, 30, 60 and 90 sec. exposures to avoid saturating the central nebula and Trapezium asterism. Total image time more than five (5) hours. Acquired, calibrated, aligned, combined (Hubble Palette), DDP in MaxIM DL, post-processed in Photoshop CS2 where CFHT was added as Hue layer to Hubble palette which was color layer (c)2012Max Corneau
