Shot from my SkyShed POD in southast Oklhahoma This field, taken over a two-day period consists of five hours of total time and contains at least 700 inidividual galaxies. Shot from my SkyShed POD in southast Oklahoma this image was captured using a QSI-583 WSG, guided by a Meade DSI through a hightly modiefied AstroTech AT-130 that operates with a custom developed and CNC machined back section and focuser unit. Optical system yields a 79.10 arcmin x 59.50 arcmin field of view at an images scale of 1.43 arcsec/pixel. The system is mounted on an EQ-6Pro that was hyptertuned by Deep Sky Products and operated through an EQMOD ASCOM interface. The rig sits on top of a custom-cast 1" thinck by 6-inch square solid block of 7072 grade aircraft aluminum with an ultimate tensile stregth of 83,000 PSI. Image was captured aligned, combined, calibrated and assembled in MaxIM DL and post processed in Photoshop CS2.
