Taken 2010/08/12 Image center RA: 20h51m03.67s DE:+31°06'55.0", Field of view 3 X 4.5 degrees. Celestial north is up and east right. This is said to be a super nova remnant from 5000 to 8000 years ago and about 1400 to 2600 light years away in the constillation Cygnus. Origonally reported by William Herschel in 1784, this complex of star residue consists of ionized, sulphur, oxygen, and hydrogen. If you follow the eastern section of glowing gas, in a counter clockwise direction, I beleive there is a band of darker material associated because of the lower star visibility. Pickerings triangle is seen above and to the left of the whiches broom. This is an interesting complex due to its structure and size. This was first light for the 45ED 8 X 10min. exposures and stacked with Nebulosity. Aligned and stacked with Nebulosity Older Mountain Instruments MI-250 tangent arm mount. Borg 77Ach guide scope with an Orion Starshoot autoguider using PHD guiding MiniBorg 45ED with 0.85 Reducer (7885)
