Description
This is the Veil Nebula complex shot from my light-polluted back yard July 2008. This is a narrow-band/RGB emulation, mapping H-alpha data to Red, OIII to green and a blend of H-alpha and OIII (simulating H-beta) to blue. 70 minutes each of RGB data was also imaged to give the stars a natural RGB color. Camera: SBIG STL-6303 Class 1 with CFW-L 8-position filter wheel and Astrodon Narrowband (H-alpha, SII and OIII) and LRGB filters Telescope: Takahashi FSQ-106N Mount: Astro-Phyics AP1200GTO Exposure Information: Ha: 15 x 30 minutes binned 1 x 1 OIII: 13 x 30 minutes binned 1 x 1 R: 7 x 10 minutes binned 1 x 1 G: 7 x 10 minutes binned 1 x 1 B: 7 x 10 minutes binned 1 x 1 Total Exposure time: 17.5 hours
