Description
A small 60mm apochromatic scope paired with a set of narrowband imaging filters and a modest CCD camera was used to produce these three diffrent color palettes of the Eastern Veil Nebula. Being a supernova Remnant, the area is littered with high heavy element content and glows quite brightly in not only H-alpha, but also in OIII and SII. H-alpha is 6x20min unbinned, OIII is 10x5min binned 2x2 while SII is 11x5min binned 2x2. Imaged through the Takahahshi FS-60C using the ATIK 16HR monochrome CCD camera, with the APM 130/780 LW providing guidescope duty and a MEade DSI guide camera. Everything rode on an Orion Atlas EQ-G mount. Images were processed in Deep Sky Stacker and Photoshop CS2.
