Narrowband image of the central portion of M8. H-alpha comprises the red channel while OIII is used for the blue and green channels. I particularly like the illusion of depth in this image. Its almost like looking into a hollow cavity with shapes and colors sculpted by dust and gas. H-alpha is 12x5min (2x2 binning) and OIII is 6x5min (2x2 binning).
