Taken at 300 mm with a D2x, 200-400vr lens at 1/45sec at f4. About a 25% crop centered. I post this crop because I think it shows the good health of these animals. It could make for a great headshot though. I had no idea of the strength these rams have. Very muscular torso and very little fat on these guys. Watching them bounce around on cliffs chasing ewes was awe-inspiring. Low light conditions necessitated patience for just the right shot keeping an ISO of 100. I used Capture NX for light and PS Smart Sharpen for focus. Location was Big Thompson Canyon.
