Taken in my backyard in St. Cloud Florida with a Meade 10 LX200GPS and an SBIG ST-10XE. I was lucky to get enough frames to create this image. Taken a few weeks ago it was quite early in the morning and I dozed off while imaging. When I woke up a couple hours into the session I found my cat Dug riding the LX200. As you can imagine the scope wasnt balanced for the additional weight resulting in some poor tracking. The Trifid Nebula (M20)located in Sagittarius. The central section is an emmission nebula showing up in pinks. Surrounding it is a blue reflection nebula that gives this DSO a colorful contrast.
