Description
his is a very large area of emission nebulosity located in the constellation of Cepheus, actually about half way in between Cassiopeia and Cepheus. This used to labeled NGC 7822 along with another nebulous area North of it but is now separately identified as CED 214. To me this kind of looks like bats flying out of a lighted cave, so Ive given it the nickname The Bat Cave. Image Details and Processing: 3 Hours (30 minute subs) with 6nm Ha filter, 40 minutes each of RGB. Captured with CCDSoft and CCD Commander, combined with MaximDL, processed in Photoshop. Date and Location: Thunderidge, CO. October 13-14, 2006
