Description
The Veil Nebula complex is the glowing remnants of a supernova that occurred thousands of years ago. Also called the Cirrus Nebula because of its resemblance to the wispy clouds, it is composed of several distinct regions. The right hand portion is sometimes known as the Witchs Broom. Near the top-center is a rich region called Pickerings Triangle. The brightest portion near the left edge is truly what gives the overall nebula the Veil moniker.
