This pano was taken along the Ophir Pass just west of Telluride, Co. It had rained and the clouds gave way to late afternoon sunshine. Taken on the 2nd of August 2006 you can see snow as well as streams on this northern face and Alpine Tundra. I shot this with a D2x, 12-24mm DX lens set at f9 for 1/500. In person this was breathtaking after an hour or so of very rocky road only to open up to this vista. It was taken from the seat in a Touareg truck as the road was narrow and muddy. I left the foreground in for its color and perspective. You may not agree.
