This Marsh Hen was elusive and skittish and I couldn’t obtain an image without shooting through the reeds and grass along the Pagan River as the bird made certain to remain hidden as much as possible. I was fairly close on the bank above the river but had to remain perfectly still as to not spook the bird. I identified this as an immature King Rail because of the area where it was imaged, but am not absolutely certain of this. 1/20 second at 700mm, f/5.6
