Description
This is a very busy region in Cassiopeia contains at least three different kinds of objects. The largest object in this image is Sh 2-157, a bright emission nebula which to my eye looks like a squid. Other emission nebulae in this image are NGC 7538, and the well-known Bubble Nebula. The bright open cluster M52 is at the bottom right, while the smaller but more interestingly-shaped open cluster NGC 7510 is at the left-center. Finally, in the top left corner is a bright patch of nebulosity called PK 110-0.1, which is a planetary nebula. All of this is visible within a 2°x2° field of view.
