When I was photographing this bird, a flock of Canada Geese flew overhead. The owl suddenly became very interested in them and you can see that he focused his hearing directly at them. This bird is more than a year and a half old; his primary tail feathers arent rounded and they are patterned. First year birds are rounded and have more solid gray than a pattern in them.
