Comet C/2001 Q4 NEAT taken from Woodlake Observatory near downtown Sacramento, CA. Over 120 exposures were used to create this image - 30+ Luminance of 30 seconds each binned 1x1 plus 30+ of 30 seconds each RG&B. Tak FSQ-106 and ST-10XME unguided on Paramount ME. AstroDon filters. Calibration im Mira7 Pro, RGB combine in MaximDL4. Luminance and RGB combined in Photoshop CS. Star streaks were removed in Photoshop, one each RGB from middle of run were processed and combined and screen composited with comet image. About 6 hours of processing went into this. Not too bad from very near downtown Sacramento, with 14% Moon 28 degrees to the west, comet only about 30 degrees average altitude and some fireworks nearby about halfway through the image series...
