One of the best sights involving our closets celestial body is the terminator of the seven day moon which include breathtaking views of the eastern half of Mare Imbrium, the Appenine Mountains, Mare Vaporum and Serinitatis as well as various rilles, craters and craterlets. The image above represents first light for a Canon EOS 300d at the prime focus of a Celestron 14 SCT through very thin clouds which would not go away. Nevertheless, the bottom line is a stunning photo of a stunning area of the moon.
