This is a nice prominence taken on Valentines Day 19:10:10 UT. You can trace the prominece back down to the surface of the Sun where it appears as a filament. The Equipment used is as follows: Astro-Physics 130 f/8 refractor .5 angstrom Daystar ATM filter 103 mm ERF Canon 300D 1/25 second at 100 ISO Losmandy GM-8 mount processed and Photoshop 3.0 (yes 3.0)
