10 minutes of stacked 30 second images taken with Starlight HX9 on a 18 f 4.5 Obsession & Tom Osypowskis Equatorial Platform guided by SBIG ST5c & E Finder. Seeing conditions were pretty decent early on and the comet was just past zenith heading south/southwest. I used Astroart 3 to acquire & stack into a raw image and PS levels & curves to process the images. Though darks were taken (no flats)it was not necessary to use them. I tried stacking the comet both ways marking a star (shown) and marking just the comet. I preferred the slightly elongated version of the comet verses the elongated view of the stars. Until working out the kinks with the ST5c in interfacing with Toms platform the maximum time that I could get unguided was 10~15 seconds max. I did experiment with 1 minute guided but felt that I was getting too much of a bloomed out core on the comet. I will experiment with short exposures to see if I can pull out more core detail. Doug
