Old Data: SH2-173

I love it! The excellent write-up adds another dimension. I see the face in the nebula. :-)

First try capturing the Leo Triplets

Goofing around some more with the same data... added spikes to the image with StarSpikes Pro 3. Took a new approach to stretching. Also am using a different display for working on the images since my laptop screen is very bright I get complaints that images developed on them seem too dark or understretched.

VALIDATION ERROR INSTALLING BYEOS WITH SYSTEM 7 ON

I think he would work one-on-one with you to get up and running. My experience has been that BYE author offers great support. :-) There may be a limit to the number of PCs you can activate the license on.

Super high resolution using video techniques

Looks good Roland. :-) I use video a lot for planets but hadn't given it much thought for brighter DSO. My Basler firewire camera has a good QE chip that I might try out if we have a clear night. I actually have two of them so I can use one for guiding with MetaGuide. Did you run the video through PIPP?

Supernova Remnant G 65.3+5.7 in Cygnus

Posted By Charles Stevenson

I've been waiting for another image from you, Maciej! :-) This reminds me of the dumbbell nebula as if everything slowly drifted further away... what's the difference between a planetary nebula and a supernova remnant? Death vs birth?

Edit: I will also say it amazes me that I think all of your images are also taken with tripods and not in a permanent observatory?
