4 inch scopes

On the used market, just float a "wanted" ad for a 4" F8 AP Starfire and/or AP 120 ED. Both excellent, American made, and with plenty of accessories available.

power amp

Posted By Jeff Blazey

Nice Klipsch's. They don't need much power. A stout 100 watt per channnel amp that can double that into a 4 ohm load should be just fine. Any of the Adcom stand alone power amps would be just fine.

BTW, a pre-amp will not get you more power. It's just a switching device with a volume control to apply some gain. Or are you looking for a pre-amp in addition to a power amp?

oldies but goodies

There's also "IT, Terror from Beyond Space", which, in part, inspired "Alien".

The first time I saw the original "Thing", I was about 10, home alone, my parents were off playing cards at the neighbors, my older brother was at a party, it was dark and snowing like crazy. OMG. I still find this movie first rate with an exceptional script, great (read "natural")acting great pace and some truly unexpected scenes that make you JUMP. And who could ever forget the scene where they all stand around at the alien crafts crash site (it's under the ice), arms out stretched, almost holding hands, to figure out its shape. A classic in every regard.
