I promise I will NOT use my ST237 next time I go out.

This single 5 minute exposure of M51 shows enormous promise. But.... how do I do darks and subtract them, I am accustomed to Maxim spoiling me with a quick "Calibrate button".

I want to thank Uncle Rod for prodding me to try Nebulosity2, which gave me my best color results ever!!!

I am puzzled I do not think my CCD color frames were ever _that_ bad but for some reason the color from the DSLR just comes together so much easier.

This is 25 frames of 5 mins each. Calibrated, normalized, and layered in Nebulosity. Aligned and median combined in Maxim.

Here's another one that goes almost overhead up here in Alaska. This is my first time messing with RAW data, with bias/dark calibration and with FocusMax/Robofocus focusing on a DSLR. A lot of stuff came together in one night, just in time for the Sun to take away all my fun!

This one was converted from RAW pre-calibration and I notice now its harder to stretch the data that way. I might do this one again tonight with RAW's... ignore the Moon, it's not really there.

another M101

This one has a bit more detail I think due to smarter normalization of my various sets. Please ignore the corners, I've been working through figuring out how to process detail out of the galaxy, and I'm getting a bit bored of grafting corners onto the image.

This was shot half at 1800mm f/9 and half at 3600mm f/18. (Ridiculously oversampled for the seeing.) ~50 frames @ 90 seconds and ISO1600
