Some random thoughts

No way, so pointing this fact out without denouncing it herself is meaningless. Tip of the iceberg.

Allowing minors access to drugs or surgery to alter their gender was also left unchallenged. Too woke to address it even if she agreed it shouldnt be allowed. I wrote a post warning about these issues during the election. Here was a post I made today. You want to know why you lost so many hispanic men? Here is one of the reasons:

"My Democratic friends, and yes I consider you friends: In the spirit of trying to learn from the electoral beat-down that the Democrats took in this election, let me re-echo something I tried to warn about before the election.

There is a huge difference between trying to protect the rights of people that hold minority beliefs or practices versus trying to impose societal norms against the desire of the majority. Its one of the bigger lessons from this election IMO, that I hope the left figures"
I think the Dems lost because of the following:

1. Persistent in your face (greed) inflation in the supermarket and elsewhere.

2. Primary pres candidate: female

3. Persistent lying in the GOP echo chamber: Faux and the like.

The stock market opened today at the highest it has ever opened on the day after a Federal election. This is the largest percentage increase on the day after the election since 1900, up 1275 points

Why do you care anyway, Rich? You don't have any investments in the market anyway.

That said, this rally is what Alan Greenspan used to call "irrational exuberance." Tomorrow, or in the next few days, the market will drop due to profit taking or some other reason. It's the long term performance that counts...

"JPMorgan analysts predicted in a report ahead of Tuesday’s election result that under a “red wave,” stocks stood to gain through the end of 2024, but “the uncertainty around policy execution would become more prominent in 2025.”

"However, markets and the economy have generally performed better under Democratic presidents — though stocks have boomed regardless of which party controls the White House. The S& 500 has grown an average of 10% under Democrats and 6.7% under Republicans, according to Sam Stovall at CFRA Research. Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the US economy, has averaged 3.9% under Democratic presidents, well ahead of the 2.4% under Republicans."

“This was a market coiled for an extreme reaction one way or the other,” said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at B Riley Wealth Management. “The market is saying: We just elected a business-friendly president. … The initial reaction to a Trump administration is met with enthusiasm that may be temporary.”

Oh, is that kind of like Janet Yellin telling the nation a FULL 3 Years ago, that "this inflation would be transitory"?

Hmm... that was the prediction wasn't it back 3 FULL years ago?

So, did you want to explain how 36 FULL months later, we are still seeing core inflation at 3.3%, well above the target of 2%?

Did you have a neat little answer for that one?

I don't know about you, but I surely don't consider 3 FULL years of inflation hitting its highest level in 45 years and still not coming back down to target levels as "transitory" do you?
"The Federal Reserve may have pretty much just hit its 2% inflation target"

Do you want to take a shot at that now? smile
Compared to the other nations in the GLOBAL economy that we partake in, it is transitory...

IMO, well worth watching the 2.5 minute summary of the outcome of the election:

No, but that's the outcome of the so-called pro life conservative agenda.
