If I had my druthers, I'd like to vacation in Australia. I would love to go there for an astronomy get-away.

Part of the social contract we all make is to pay the taxes necessary to provide for common needs, such as security, transportation, law and order. Renewing the tax cuts is irresponsible because it will increase the deficit by $700B/yr. The money that will go to service that debt should be spent on all the things on which everyone depends.

I don't have a problem with paying for the neccesary things that the government provides. But let the government get it's spending issues in order, and get people who abuse government services off the dole before they come around asking me to pay more in taxes. There I go, whinning. :S

Thanks for making me feel young. I thought I was old prefering The Simpsons. I do enjoy South Park as well. But Bugs Bunny? Don't tell me it's the humor, he ain't that funny. Next you'll be saying how hot Betty Grable is.

The Simpsons, along with Family Guy, is pure raunch, and Southpark is mostly scatalogical humor. What's funny about that? :S

Rex, you've apparently never seen The Simpsons. I'd bet it's "cleaner" than any other sitcom on TV. South Park is pure satire. Muslims, Tom Cruise, Barb Streisand, Phil Collins, Kanye West etc., do not want the creators dead or broke because of any scatoligical humor. You'd know this if you actually watched before commenting. Agree on Family Guy though. Not to say it isn't funny sometimes. The creator, Seth MacFarlane is the highest paid actor/director/producer/writer etc. in television, so someone thinks he's funny.

I've watched them all. To say that the Simpsons is cleaner than some sitcoms isn't saying much--they aren't fit for viewing either. I've heard the worst language on Southpark that can be said. They once ran a counter on the screen to count how many times a certain word was said (I posted the word here earlier, but my post was deleted. Probably rightfully so, but I wasn't using it gratuitously, I was trying to make a point. Obviously, I am not posting the word now).

I can watch Bugs Bunny with the kids. I cannot, and would not, do so with the Simpsons, Southpark, or Family Guy. My television viewing with family now pretty much rotates around the Science Channel, E-Westerns, and sports.
