Joey Harrington might work out...

Joey Harrington looked pretty good in the preseason game against the Bengals last night. He might work out o.k. for the Falcons. 8)

But, I must say the whole Monday Night Football / Lunar Eclipse conjunction was brutal. wink

He did look pretty sharp. As much as the guys in the booth were talking about Vick, you almost wouldn't know there was a game going on.

Appalachian State beats Michigan!

For the first time ever, a I-AA team has beaten a ranked BCS candidate I-A sports program. I've always wondered if a small school could knock off a big school in a "tune up" game. What a nightmare for Michigan fans and an amazing feat for a small sports program!

Michigan's special teams really let them down. Appalachia State showed up to play, and Michigan didn't, thinking it was going to be a typical first-game-of-the-season warm-up game blow out. I think Oklahoma had the same mindset going into the OU-Boise State game during the past bowl season.

No matter how well Michigan does the rest of the year, their season will be defined by that first game.

Okie-Tex - not too early to start talking about it

I'm in. I went for the first time last year and had a blast. Made the hike to Black Mesa, and it liked to have killed me. I plan on making it an annual event.

Michigan and Notre Dame

Michigan and Notre Dame both 0-2 -- What's up here? Looks like they didn't want to win!!!!

Last week, I thought the loss to Appalachian State had to be a fluke. Not now.

How do I 'shrink' pictures to upload

Posted By Rex Cox

Dan McConaughy said:

I get an error message telling me my picture is too large. Someone told me to email the pictures to myself and that would shrink them, but it didn't work.

I take pics with a digital camera and they are jpg files.

Please help.

Thanks,

Dan McConaughy

Dan,

Microsoft has a utility on their Powertoy site called image resizer that will let you resize your pictures for emailing and uploading. After it is installed, all you have to do is right click on your image and select the resize option. It's a small file to download, so it won't take long. Here is the link.

6" OR 8"?

Posted By Rex Cox

Here's my two-cents worth.

I'm with those who say go with the 8" if you can handle it fairly easily. Personally, I feel that there is a quite a noticable difference in the views between the 6 and the 8, and it's a little more comfortable to use. Plus, the 8 will let you use 2" eyepieces. The Orion 6" only accepts 1.25" eyepieces.
