Cactus in Bloom

This is a shot of 2 cactus I have growing
in my greenhouse.
The one on the left is called Echinopsis Multiplex this one the flowers don't last more than a couple of days.
The one on the right is called Mammillaria Prolifera.
Picture was taken with a Nikon F-3 camera,Zykkor 28-80mm lens,Fuji Astia 100-f film.
Not digital yet

Blue Heron

A couple of shots I took about 2 weeks ago of these Blue Heron on my way back to the boat ramp.
Nikon F-3,Sigma 70-210mm lens,Kodak E-200 film. Lens was set at 210mm.
These were taken from a moving boat.

I caught this guy just as he got done pulling a seed out of the SunFlower.

A couple more Blue Heron

Here are 3 shots I took with my new toy.
Nikon D200 and a Sigms 400mm F-5.6 lens
The only thing I did was to make the picture size smaller in Photoshop.
Photoshop said the dpi was 300
These were all taken from a moving boat.
No Image stablizer or anything like that

Killdeer ???

Nikon D200 - Sigma 400mm F-5.6 lens
I hope this is a Killdeer.
The 3rd one is a Killdeer and I belive
there also a Sandpiper in the shot as well.

Hummer in the Sunflower

Caught this guy in my Sunflower the other day.
Here are a few shot of him or her.
Question how do you get enough lighting when you have a dark back ground and shade to deal with?
I also have some shot of a Osprey that are similary to these.
Would you like them posted also for comments?
