What is the best 120 fomat film currently availabl

Posted By August R. Orlandi

Frank,
I just tried 2 of Kodak E-100 120 format films.
Both are slide film. The E-100 VS is no good for astro-photography.
The E-100 G might be. Here are 2 shot I took the 1 of Oct.
Both are 50 minute exposure,taken through a Takahashi TSA-102,
with field flatteren and reducer.
Don't know how this film will do as far as reds go.
If we get some clear nights I will try and find out.
These 2 pictures were scan with an Epson 3200 scanner,
nothing was done to the scans except to crop and reduce the dpi.

Very nice,I always like this galaxy.
Kind of faint in a smaller telescope,
but nice.
