Here a picture that Robert asked for of Rho.
All I did from the original was to lighten and
reduce the original number of pixcels down to 100
and made it a 4X6.

M-31 and Surprise

I know another M-31 shot,Yes but the surprise to me was I
caught Comet 2P/Encke also.
The only other reason for posting this I have yet to see
anyone else post one of the comet.
The photo was taken on 10-17-03 with a AP155mm scope,
field flattern and reducer,Pentax 6X7 camera,with
Fuji NPH 400 film and a 45 minute exposure.
This is a low resolution scan with no processing
done to it,just a raw scan

Forgot to mention the bright blue object in the upper
right is the comet.
Also the vignetting is common with this set up.

Need new film lab for slide film

The last film lab here that did E-6 processing ( Slide Film )
and would push the film has closed.If anyone know of a film lab close to Rockford,Il ( Which is located about 70 miles N.W. of Chicago ) that will do E-6
medium format film and push it I would appreciate it.
I am looking for a lab close by,like in a 70 mile radius and
were I can wait for it.

NGC 4038 & NGC 4027

NGC 4038 or better known as The Antennea or Ring-Tail Galaxys.
Also when you photography this field you get an extra treat
NGC 4027.
This photo was taken with an: AP 155mm refactor using a field
flatteren with a Pentax 6X7 camera on Fuji Provia 400 film.
Exposure time was 45 minutes. The film was scaned with a Espon
3200 scanner at 3200 dpi then reduced in Photo Shop to 200 dpi
for posting. This is a raw image scan,nothing has been done to it except reduce it size.
My location is 42 degrees North so this is some what low in the Southern Sky,with some light pollution.
The seening on the night this was taken was about 7.5 to 8
on a scale of 1-10 with 10 beening perfect.

Another NGC 2244

Well here is another shot of the Rosette Nebula.
Photo was taken with a: AP 155mm refactor,with field flattener,
Pentax 6X7 camera using Fuji Provia 400 film.
This was a 45 minute shot,scaned with an Espon 3200 scanner.
The only adjustment made to the picture was to reduce the
dpi in Photo Shop from 3200 to 175.

NGC 2403

The 4 images NGC 2403,M-51,M-81 & M-82,M-101 were taken on
4-13-04. These were all 45 minute exposures on Fuji 400 Provia.
All images are the original scans except for the croping and
the lower dpi. The images were scanned with an Espon 3200
scanner.
These pictures were taken with an: AP 155mm scope,field flattener,Pentax 6X7 camera.
Conditions were windy and the seeing was about 7.5 to 8.
NGC 2403 is a fairly bright galaxy 8.4 located in Camelopardalis. Easily seen in even a small scope.
