House and Gold Finch

Posted By Robert Watters

Well this is all I can muster up for now. Nothing compared to most that are posted here daily. With any luck maybe some eagle pics this weekend. I can only hope weather cooperates.

Finch

Posted By Robert Watters

Another House Finch but this time with my Canon G3 and Scopetronix Maxview 40mm eyepiece that I just got. I stuck it in my Celestron short tube 80mm F5 and shot through the back window (bad, I know). Amazingly it came out pretty decent I think.

Eagle

Posted By Robert Watters

Well I managed to get a few shots. :-)
Here is the first one after a little touch up and cropping in PS. This guy was about 150+ yards out so I used an alternate scope (80mm F11) while my dad shot with my 80mm F5 and 2x teleconverter.
The 80mm F11 was a little bit of a beast to control and it has some vignetting but I just cropped most of that off.

80mm F11 with Scopetronix 40mm Maxview and a Canon G3.

More to come,

Here is another Eagle shot from last weekend, this time on film. This is a hand held 800mm (80mm F5 with 2x teleconverter) shot on E200 Kodak film.

Male Downey

This is a little sharper than they have been. I got an extension tube so I could take the diagonal out of my optical path. My suspicions paid off, the diagonal wasn't helping any.
