Help With I.D. Please

Posted By Steve Stonehill

Hi Gang,

These look like a flower but I think they might be fungi. These are in the woods behind my home in the leaf litter. I have seen these elsewhere in NJ.

Thanks,

Steve

More Turtles

Posted By Steve Stonehill

Hi Gang,

This Red-Eared turtle is a non-native species in NJ. So many unwanted pets have been released into the wild that there are actually breeding populations in some lakes and ponds. Luckily, these peaceful creatures don't seem to have much impact on the environment.

Around the House

Hi Gang,

I'm trying to learn to use the flash more effectively so I took a walk around the yard to look for different subjects.

Still Learning,

Steve

Ospreys Having Lunch

Hi Gang,

I shot these this weekend from my kayak. The shots were at max zoom and the focus is soft, but if you disregard those facts you can still make out the species. smile

Clear Skies,

Steve
